It’s called Intellidrive and involves downloading an app to your smartphone that monitors driving habits such as hard brakes, hard accelerations, speed and time of day. You can receive a discount of up to 30% for participating and can opt-out of the program within 45 days if you decide it’s not for you. The vast majority of drivers will receive a discount however some drivers may see an increase in premium at their renewal. ### Travelers IntelliDrive Program FAQs What is IntelliDrive? It’s a 90-day program that rewards your safe driving habits with great savings at renewal. You can earn up to 30% savings on your auto policy, with riskier habits resulting in higher premiums.\* New customers can get up to an initial 10% savings just for signing up. How does it work? IntelliDrive lives on your smartphone and monitors your performance as you go. Simply drive as you normally would and receive a breakdown after every trip with details about your drive. Your speed, how you brake, and whether or not you engage with your phone are some of the variables used to determine your driving performance. Track your overall performance in the app and even compare your score with other drivers on your policy. What information does IntelliDrive collect? IntelliDrive captures information about driving habits associated with Braking, Acceleration, Speed Time of Day and Phone Use. After each trip you can review a map of your route and your driving performance to date. Collection of location data does not affect your auto insurance rate. Will the discount be applicable for the life of my policy? Yes, your final IntelliDrive discount will apply to your vehicles, or their replacements, for the life of your policy.
